[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide college and career readiness platform
- The college and career planning feature will offer a holistic, customizable approach to college and career planning for students in grades 7-12 that will do the following:
- Enable school and district staff to create personalized postsecondary plans that link students’ skills and areas of interest to their college and career goals
- Develop and manage a 5-year Individual Success Plan (ISP)
- Enable students to revisit and revise student ISPs each year
- The ability for students to explore the 16 Career Clusters
- Provide automated reminders to students of pending college and career readiness tasks
- Integrate with the school and/or district's directory service
- Offer videos, virtual tours, and/or virtual job shadowing related to college and career readiness
- Offer personality assessment and interest inventory that would help students identify their strengths
- The ability to import data from the National Student Clearinghouse and other postsecondary data sources to track alumni postgraduation enrollment
- Provide training videos and other guidance resources to assist students in understanding college application and admissions processes
- The ability for students to submit complete college application packages through the College and Career Readiness Platform
- Allow high school counselors to communicate and collaborate with college admissions representatives from postsecondary institutions to which students apply – in order to ensure student applications are complete and on-time.
- Offer a scholarship database for students to be able to identify for scholarships and financial aid opportunities
- The ability for students to submit complete scholarships and financial aid application packages through the College and Career Readiness Platform
- The ability to develop a career portfolio, which includes test and grade results, examples of student work, and resumes and covers letters to prospective employers
- Capability to house student standardized testing results
- Ability to create online surveys that allows student feedback on services provided
- Allow parent/ guardian access to view students’ college and career results
- E-Transcript:
- The e-transcript feature of the platform will facilitate the transfer of student information between various institutions. This information is exchanged between high schools (public and private) and colleges and universities (public and private non-profit), between participating postsecondary institutions, state agencies, and, perhaps in the future, beyond the educational
environment to include employers, professional associations, and more.
- Convenient online access available 24/7
- Tracking of student’s transcript request
- Seamless integration with the school/ district Student Information System for efficient processing.
