(1) Vendor needs to provide disproportionate discipline data, professional development and coaching services to address issues of disproportionate representation of African American students with disabilities in the district's discipline numbers, specifically related to removals from the classroom through in school and out-of-school suspensions to the government authority located in Hernando, MS. • support in analysing discipline data related to teacher discipline referrals and school level data, professional development for the targeted school(s), and coaching support for implementation of best practices in handling students with behavioral issues - Data Analysis • Review district discipline data by attendance zone and school, teacher, time of day, location, and ethnicity. • Determine areas of disproportionate use of in-school and out-of-school suspension. • Determine students who make up the district's disproportionate numbers resulting in state identified Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervention Services (CCEIS) requiring targeted focus on these students. • Identify schools with higher numbers of students in the district's disproportionate numbers. - Professional Development • Develop a targeted professional development plan for each identified school. • School-level individualized plans would address classroom and school-level behavior expectations and systems as well as targeting individual behavior issues. • Deep dive into school-level discipline data and the impact on student achievement. - Coaching • Provide coaching to teachers with high referrals or with students frequently targeted for removal to address student engagement and learning to reduce discipline referrals. • Provide teachers with strategies for data tracking of student academic and behavior progress. • Ensure consistent discipline referrals and data entry when behavior necessitates office referral. (2) All questions must be submitted no later than May 18, 2023.
