The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) single source award to PVL Technologies, Inc. (CAGE 3XHR1) for updates to ES–80 Shake Table. GSL is in the process of completing the ES80 Shake Table Retrofit and Installation; however during the pre–installation site visit at the Centrifuge Research Complex (CRC), two items were identified which need to be corrected before work can continue. This table is unique and a singular piece of equipment. No other company exists which has the capability or expertise to work on this model of earthquake simulator.The award will be issued in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i).
