[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal
[B] Scope of Service:
(1) Vendor needs to provide pharmacy, intravenous therapy products and related services to the government authority located in Gulfport, MS.
- Insurance shall be an approved provider and have a proven ability/record to bill Medicare,
Tricare and other supplementary medical insurance. Resident insurance companies shall be responsible for payment of services, Policies shall address the education and training requirements for billing and coding personnel; the risk areas for fraud, waste, and abuse; the integrity of the billing information system; the methodology for resolving ambiguities in the paperwork; and the procedure to ensure duplicate bills are not submitted in an attempt to gain duplicate payment, shall perform regular; periodic audits of AFRH billings by internal or external auditors who have expertise in Federal and State health care statutes, and Federal, State and private payer health care program requirements.
- Electronic Medication Administration and Management requirements: Turn-Key System (complete product/service ready for immediate use) to include servers, network, order entry system desktops and laptops, Produce and maintain Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR), Dispense routine meds and narcotics electronically, Provide barcode software and readers to track and monitor the dispensing and administration of medications in inpatient settings, Maintain resident information for medications, Ability to issue warnings for incorrect medication administration, Provide a web based (Cloud) system, Provide real time information, Develop initial resident database, Ability to download reports or upload documents such as insurance cards, Ability to view invoices, track payments, co-pays and insurance billing to track medication costs, Allow designated personnel the ability to view Average Wholesale Pricing (AWP), For security purposes the system shall be Health Level 7 (HL7) and Federal Security Information management Act of 2002 (FSIMA) compliant, Allow staff to enter stat orders for review and approval of on duty pharmacist 24/7, Provide Med Station for automated dispensing supporting decentralized medication management i.e. Pyxis, Ergonomic and back safe medication carts that support electronic devices, medication storage, and narcotic storage that is keypad entry versus standard key entry, Electronic medication system that supports order entry by providers, co-signing capabilities for providers to co-sign telephone/verbal orders, medication administration using the eMAR, and reordering of medications within the same system, Hard stops for any safety variances within the medication order to prevent medication errors, The ability to retrieve clinical assessment data, medicine order data and medication data that is placed within the system at any time, Ability to upload documents such as the VIS forms for flu, pneumonia, shingles vaccinations that can be printed from the system when administering the immunization for the resident/family to review, Ability to document treatments and retrieve the data any time needed, Emergency back-up Pharmacy access and medication delivery the day the medication is needed.
- Third Party Insurance Billing Services shall have written policies and procedures that articulate specific procedures personnel shall follow when submitting initial or follow-up claims, Policies shall
address the education and training requirements for billing and coding personnel; the risk areas for fraud, waste and abuse; the integrity of the billing information system; the methodology for resolving ambiguities in the written paperwork; and the procedure to ensure duplicate bills are not submitted in an attempt to gain duplicate payment.
(2) All question must be submitted no later than June 29, 2020.

Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office location
