[B] Scope of Service:
Vendor needs to provide translation, interpretation and transcript services district is committed to innovative teaching and learning which is deeply embedded in our core values of equity and excellence.
• In addition to English, the two most spoken languages by JPSD families, students and community members are Spanish and Arabic, however an additional 12 languages are spoken in the community that include: French, Urdu, Chuj, Amharic, Wolof, Haitian Creole, Gujarati, Igbo, Chinese, Vietnamese, Wolof, and Samoan.
• Translation is defined as expressing written words from a source language into written words of a target language, retaining the original meaning. It also includes checking computer translated documents. The contractor usually completes these services from their own place of business. Transcribing from a video or audio electronic file may also be required.
• Transcription is defined as the act of making a written, printed, or typed copy of words that have been spoken.
• Interpretation is defined as accompanying a speaker by translating spoken words from one language to another in order to make spoken words understood by a group, audience, individual on the telephone, in a meeting room, or at a gathering of many people.

Onshore (US organization Only)
[D] Work Performance:
Performance of the work will be Offsite. Vendor needs to carry work in their office premises.
